What we do
Jason Haim is the founder and managing partner of Breakers Capital Partners, LLC (“BCP”). BCP was founded in 2009 and owns a diversified portfolio of real estate interests, including office buildings, multi family complexes, and retail complexes in southern Florida, New Jersey, South Carolina and North Carolina. Over the past five years, BCP has been the general partner or co-general partner in the construction, management and leasing of over 700 multi family apartments in Charleston, South Carolina, and has led the acquisition and ownership of over a half million square feet of commercial buildings throughout South Florida.
We opportunistically acquire and develop well-located assets in high barrier to entry markets and engage in systematic and strategic initiatives to increase cash flow and effectuate capital improvement programs. By combining an institutional infrastructure with an entrepreneurial spirit, we bring a fresh approach to a constantly shifting, highly sophisticated investment market.
By leveraging our broad, existing local and national relationships with brokers, developers, owners, investors, attorneys and lenders, we deploy a rigorous approach while investing in core, core-plus, value-add and ground-up opportunities.
A creative perspective throughout the investment cycle, coupled with a disciplined approach to capital improvements, asset management and preservation of capital, sets the tone for our investments. Focused development and a team-oriented mission for repositioning and rebranding characterize our strategy.
We target properties ranging from $25M to $400M which can be acquired at significant discounts to replacement cost or developed at a significantly attractive risk/reward yield on cost. We consider investments in the office, retail, multifamily, industrial and mixed-use sectors.
As an opportunistic hands-on real estate investor, developer and operator, we are considered best-in-class partners with a variety of institutional, private equity, family foundation and high net worth individuals. Preservation of capital, first and foremost, is emphasized at every point in an asset’s investment cycle.
We joint-venture with those with whom we share a common vision and invest our own capital in each deal so that our interests are always aligned.
